Questionable quality

On the first unit, a battery jammed going into the probe. Couldn't get it out no matter how hard I tried. Returned it for another one. This one had the display in the probe fog up within minutes of hitting the water. The temperature was still readable on the remote. Today, the display is still fogged but the reading showed over 40C in water that I know was only about 34C. I have brought it in the house in order to put it in a bag of rice (a natural desiccant) in hopes of drying it out. Temperature in my basement (on the thermometer) is 131C but the remote reads 31.7. It's probably moisture in the display that's causing the leading 1 to appear, but even so, in my basement in September, there's no way it's that hot. Definitely not a reliable product.

Worst Purchase Ever

3rd. one to go back. This one teads pool @ 32F (freezing temp of water) outside air temp is 78F. These units are absolute "GARBAGE".

Le thermomètre à très bien fonctionné les 3 premières semaines mais depuis 2 jours, il indique 110 degré F. On a enlevé les piles, resynchronisé, etc. Rien à faire. Ne perdez pas votre argent en achetant ce produit!

Poor quality

I purchased one about a month ago and it worked great for about a few weeks, until the thermometer was displaying garbled numbers, then would not display at all, but the base would display fine. Then suddenly the base would constantly display NOS (no signal) and regain the signal later. New batteries did not fix the problem. There is only about 60 feet between the thermometer and the base and it is in clear site of each other, so the distance should not be the issue (especially since it worked well for a few weeks). I decided try exchange it with another one and when I brought it home, the base would not display the first digit and would not display the bottom of the two other digits, unless you press a button. I'm returning it and purchasing one somwhere else.

Does not work

First one I purchased, the base unit display was not working. Returned it for another, it had the same problem. Tried 2 additional ones at counter, 1 had the same problem as first 2, the second was almost working, you could read numbers on the display. Decided to get money back and try elsewhere.

A: This product carries a one year exchange warranty against manufacturing defects. To return it for warranty exchange, bring it to any Canadian Tire store within the warranty period, with your receipt. Warranty exchanges without the original receipt will be offered at the Canadian Tire store’s discretion.
