DEWALT Drive Socket Set, 192-pc

Brilliant. Bought this set 3 weeks ago. Everything anyone needs all in one case. Love this set, love the chrome. Good grip, fit, torque, and durability. Love the different extensions and angle adapters for tight fits ir awkward angles. Everyone should have this set.

Mechanical wise, I bought two sets, each piece is of very good quality. Lifetime Warranty, knurling, I like the extensions, no filler, direct torque sockets. ¼,⅜,½ plus spark plug sockets. Great Value , gives opportunity to buy a nice full wrench set to your liking separately. They're in the case almost a little too tight, takes some effort to remove but I have figured out an easy way by just pulling up from the top of a socket, no issues , or any issues fixed easily on 800#DeWalt

I use this set daily in a diesel shop. The wrenches are very comfortable and hold up well. The torx sockets could be better quality as I've had both a T30 and T40 break with very little force. The online customer support is the best way to get warranty taken care of. There was a new socket to me within 5 days. Which is alright when other techs are around.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Dewalt 192 piece mechanics tool set to upgrade from my decades old sockets that were just not grabbing hold of bolt heads any more. My first impression of the Dewalt rachets and sockets, when I opened the case was “This is High Quality!”. The 3 ratchets in the set, 1/2” 3/8” and 1/4”, along with the sockets, were all very well chromed and polished. The smooth clean surfaces will make cleaning much simpler, after I work on my truck, or use it around dirty job sites. When I grab hold of the ratchet handles, they fit comfortably in my hand, and I could grab the tool much better, thanks to the wider width of the handle area. All of the sockets are 6-point which will mean no slippage at all, even when I tighten those partly rounded heads. And the nice thing about this set, is each of the ratchets have their own complete assortment of socket sizes, large number of extensions, and adapters. I used the set to removed several stubborn bolts on a job, where my old 16-point sockets would not grab any more. The sockets were sized very accurately to the bolt head, and there was no play once put on the bolt. It went on/off the bolt head quite smoothly. The ratchet mechanism was also very smooth with the large number of teeth build into the ratchet assembly. I also used the set to assemble a new stationary bandsaw, and large garden cart, and having this set made tightening the assorted bolts much easier. Overall, I am very impressed with this set, and would recommend this without any question. This is a Quality tool, build to last, and easy to use and maintain. Two Thumbs Up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It seems like there always comes a time when one needs to upgrade. This time came for me and I started looking at the plethora of sets out there. The192pc. really seemed to cover the bases for what I needed as a home mechanic and avid DIYer so I picked it up. This set is way more than just a reasonably priced home mechanics set. Dewalt really did some homework and included some great features. For example. All sockets come with a knurled ring around the bottom that helps you get a grip when starting something in a tight space or when anything oily is involved. Along that line they also clearly engraved the size indicators so they can easily be read at all times. Another thing that drew me to this set was the range of sizes. If I was going to replace what I have I need it to cover pretty well everything.. this set does NOT disappoint!! I’ve purchased singles that other sets did not have for one off things that this set covers both small and large. The included Allen and Torx are handy too especially as Torx screws seem to be more common. Maybe what impresses me most about this set was the quality of the ratchets. I’ve had a ton of sets and bought ratchets off the tool truck because the included ones were so bad. Now, I’ve wrenched on these pretty good respectively and had no slips or flex. They feel heavy in the hard and with the 72 tooth mechanism (again great for tight spaces) these really impressed me. In summary this set is perfect for any beginner or home mechanic and would serve an avid DIYer or Pro well. Keep them in case or do what I did and get you some nice rails and outfit your toolbox for a bunch of years to come!
