This tool I bought back in 2021, I figured I’d leave a review because this tool has been so handy and reliable. The dewalt multi tools triggers and grips are the best out of any tool company competitors simply for their ergonomics and efficiency, I can do an entire floor of door cut downs with this thing all day without any fatigue whatsoever, good power and gets the job done every time without fail, very well priced tool for what you’re getting. This tool will last you a long time, i recommend anyone apart of the 20v line searching for a multi tool to pick this one up, just make sure you wear hearing protection lol she’s a loud one

It's called a Multi-tool because it has multiple uses. The problem is, you forget about this tool many time it could have been used to make the job easier. It's now in my bag with my drill driver and other drills so I see it.

Q: Does the Universal Accessory Adapter come with an Allen key?

A: I originally posed this question. The Universal Accessory Adapter is necessary if you want to use any accessories which do not have the cut-out to fit the Tool-Free System. I went to my local DeWALT Service Centre and they looked it up and gave me a replacement Univeral Accessory Adapter which included the allen key. They were also able to sell me the Cut Guide and Depth Guide for a very reasonable price.

Q: Why does the downloadable manual and these questions pertain to model 355B when this is advertised as model 356B? Why do the product details say it has a 3 position speed switch and a variable speed trigger? What's in your box?

A: Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The DCS356B is a 20V MAX* XR® Brushless Cordless 3-Speed Oscillating Multi-Tool with a variable speed trigger. The manual that is downloadable on this site is incorrect and we will work with our team and Canadian Tire to get this updated. The DeWalt DCS355 and DCS356 are both cordless oscillating tools from the same family1. Here are the differences between the two: DCS356 comes with a 3-speed switch along with the variable trigger speed. DCS355 does not include any feature of a 3-speed switch. It only has a variable trigger speed. DCS355 is the smaller of the two and weighs in at just over 3 pounds, while the DCS356 is a heavier, more powerful tool and weighs nearly 5 pounds. DCS355 produces more loud noise during vibrations which might be distracting for many users. However, the Dcs356 produces a less noise.

A: As for 054-1374, this is sold as a bare tool with the battery and charger sold separately. If you have other tools on this DEWALT 20V Lithium-Ion battery platform, you can use your existing batteries and charger interchangeably. Extra batteries for either tool are sold in 2-packs as 054-3201 for 2.0Ah or 054-3308 for larger 4.0Ah. An extra charger is available as 054-3116 the 12-20V Lithium-Ion Charger.

Q: Where are the accessories / blades? You only carry the bare tool. Not one of the stores had the blades or any attachments. How can you use the tool without the blades???? Why don't you have a kit with this model and all accessories & bag?
