    The Threaded Rod Cutter (DCS350) is capable of quickly and cleanly cutting a range of threaded rod sizes including 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" mild steel coarse thread rods and 1/4" and 3/8" stainless steel coarse thread rods. The four sided, rotatable, cutting die allows you to cut the three different sizes of threaded rod with the same tool just by rotating the cutting dies to the size you want to cut. The unit doesn't create chips or sparks while cutting, providing a burr-free cut to easily thread on fasteners without having to clean the threads. The Threaded Rod Cutter increases control by eliminating fast moving cutting blades or wheels which can bind up when cutting or trimming threaded rod. The speed of the tool allows for efficiencies and achieves up to 350 3/8" cuts on one battery charge. The unit includes a bright LED work light, a forward/reverse/lock off switch, and a hang hook. A full line of replacement accessories cutting dies is also available, sold separately.

    Labor saver

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do specialty equipment sales and installs. We use 3/8" and 1/2" all threaded rods daily for our product installations. We have tried sawzalls, and band saws in the past and they cut great but not always a good finish thread after cut. The cordless rod cutter is the ticket! we can cut rods with 1 hand overhead and end up with a good clean cut thread and no pieces dropping on finished floors.There is no jumping of tool like a sawzall or no need for 2 hands like a band saw. I have been in the specialty industry installation now for 43 years and have pretty much seen or had it all. But this cutter is one of the best items I have ever purchased. I would recommend this to any contractor that wants to do a professional installation and also save on labor time and cost to purchase this product. I am impressd by they way Dewalt has stepped their game and taken over the market with great product at a great cost point!
