Lasted less than 1 hr

As title suggests, the trimmer lasted less than 1 hr before the motor no longer runs for more than .5 of a second at a time, so it is no longer useful

Bought this battery powered string trimmer to replace my mom's gas power trimmer which was about 15 years old which still runs good, being in her '80s she was having a hard time pulling the Rope, she really enjoys battery operated one now but after 4 years the cap over the line spool broke cannot just buy the cap, have to buy complete spool assembly. I never had one break on any other line trimmers. The only way to release the line is to tap it on the ground so the cap should stand up, should be able to replace the cap only, other than that great trimmer.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Died on 3rd year of light use on my property. Generally a Dewalt fanboy but first the chainsaw (even when it worked it was junk) and now this. Replacing with Milwaukee to match my new chainsaw.

I bought this like a year ago and liked it at first but very quickly realized the protection shield is just too small. Biggest drawback is the spool cover kept falling off until it no longer fit properly. To replace the cover I have to buy a complete quick feed spool which is about 30% the cost of the trimmer. I’m just going to sell as is and go with Milwaukee or some other brand.
