DAP Kwik Seal is quick and easy-to-use adhesive caulk that forms a waterproof barrier around your baths, showers and plumbing fixtures. Resistant to mould, humidity and water contact, this adhesive caulk helps seal out leaks and drafts. Use it to seal gaps and cracks around tubs, sinks and toilets, helping keep water and moisture where it belongs. The clear formula can be painted to match your decor and is washable with soapy water making cleanup a breeze.

Label said clear, product was white

It's probably a great product and it’s not expensive, so to open the product and find it was mislabeled is a little annoying. It cost me more in gas and wasted time getting the right product (different brand to avoid the same problem). It seems like an odd oversight at the manufacturer level.

As indicated on the product package label and supporting product literature "Sealant applies white and dries clear in 7-14 days (depending on joint depth, temperature and humidity). )." All of DAP's acrylic-latex (water based) sealants will function this way and are labeled accordingly. DAP offers several other sealant options that apply and dry clear, however, these formulas typically require solvent for clean-up and are not always paintable. Thank you for posting your feedback on DAP KWIK SEAL KWIK SEAL is a water-based chemistry, the sole drying mechanism is the evaporation of water. Dry time can be significantly impacted by cool or humid application conditions, moisture in the application surfaces or by thick (deep) applications of the sealant. Because you did not provide any project details, such as: size of the joint, application surfaces, surface preparation, application technique, application conditions or the amount of time since the product was applied, it is difficult to provide a proper response in this format.
