As indicated on the product package label and supporting product literature under label section FOR BEST RESULTS: "Sealant applies white and dries clear in 7-14 days (depending on joint depth, temperature and humidity)." All of DAP's acrylic-latex (water based) sealants will function this way and are labeled accordingly. DAP offers several other sealant options that apply and dry clear, however, these formulas typically require solvent for clean-up and are not always paintable. As indicated on the DAP DYNAFLEX 230 (CLEAR) product package label and supporting product literature, under label section: “FOR BEST RESULTS: SEALANT APPLIES WHITE & DRIES CLEAR IN 7-14 DAYS” and again under label section: “INSTRUCTIONS: SEALANT APPLIES WHITE & DRIES CLEAR IN 7-14 DAYS DEPENDING ON JOINT DEPTH, TEMPERATURE & HUMIDITY." All of DAP's (CLEAR) acrylic-latex (water-based) sealants will function this way and are labeled accordingly with the information found above, regarding this color changing performance characteristic. Please note that full clarity is only achieved once all of the water contained within the product has evaporated.
