Wrong Product To Seal Around Porch Veranda

2 months ago

This product is to fill and seal cracks and holes in concrete. The primary component is acrylic latex (WITH silicone additive). If you are looking to seal around a veranda this is not the product. You will need to go with GE Grade II 100% silicone, you can use it on just about anything i.e. wood and concrete and it is rain ready within a day +/-. The DAP product here requires 7-14 days to fully cure.

We are not clear as to the intent of your commentary, as you appear to be expressing your preference for a silicone based product, but do not provide any commentary regarding your implied use of the DAP Concrete and Mortar Filler and Sealant. This product will adhere to both wood and concrete and does not require a full 7-14 days to be "rain-ready". As indicated on the product package label and supporting product literature: "Allow to cure 24 hours before direct exposure to water (longer in cooler and/or humid conditions)". At your convenience, please contact DAP’s Technical Customer Service Department at 888-327-8477 so that we can obtain some additional information regarding your experience and to offer some application guidance.
