- A: Turn off both hot and cold supply taps under the sink. Pop the handle tops off using a small screwdriver. Unscrew the screw holding the handle. Remove the handle. Using an adjustable wrench unscrew the height nut. Using plumbers silicone grease lubricate the large threads of the tap. Reassemble the tap in reverse. Put the grease on everything so the job is easy next time.a year agoHelpful?
