This durable outdoor patio umbrella base is made from 100% post-consumer recycled material and is freestanding so it can be used with or without a table. The rectangular patio umbrella base anchors a 9-12' market umbrella and has an adjustable knob to help secure it in place. A removable top allows for easy filling with 60 lbs. of sand (not included).

We bought this a year ago and when we took it for this season it cracked. Called to get the warranty but because I didn’t have the receipt they didn’t honour it. Very disappointed in the quality. For this price I was hoping to get 5 years out of it…

Pole hole not deep enough

The pole hole is not tall enough to give proper support. So it doesn’t matter how well and solid the base is.

Q: Are you supposed to fill it with sand or lime stone all the way to the top of the lid ? How can you remove it at the end of the season without it getting sand everywhere ? Or are you just supposed to fill the 4 quadrants, I can only get a bag of 18kg in.

Q: My top cap does not fit into the hole on the lid. Do you need to fill sand all the way to the lid to make it work ? Do you need to use a lot of force or should it just go in with ease ?

  • A: In the initial assembly there was some resistance which required some force to get that top cap to snap in…I personally was not able to snap it in.. I had to ask for my husband’s help, but once it’s in, I don’t see the need to ever have to remove it…doing so I feel would compromise the stiffness of the edges which helps to keep it snapped in place. I’ve filled my umbrella base with sand to full capacity for a heavier and sturdier base to hold my fair sized umbrella…so far so good. I’ve only started using it for a about a week now but I’m generally happy with it.

Q: What weight is this base?

  • A: The base doesn't have much weight by itself.... It requires sand to get the weight. I used 2 bags of sand and packed them into the base. With this, the base supports the umbrella decently.

Q: Can you fill with more than 60lb of sand, say 80lb? I noticed it said minimum 60lb so wondering what is the max it can hold?

  • A: Hello, we have not conducted testing for 80lbs. We do not recommend filling more than 60 lbs.

Q: We like the sturdiness of the umbrella base but the plastic piece right around the pole at the base does not fit into the larger part of the base, is it defective or are we not doing something right?
