wouldn't even turn on, my vehicle would register the trailer that was plugged into it, tailights even came on, but the indicator light on this unit would not come on, and bluetooth wouldn't work. the menu kept saying it found devices and to pick one from the list, but wouldn't list any. This thing is garbage. it's going back to the store ASAP.

Does what it's said it would on the box. It activates the brakes via an accelerometer or via pressing a button on the app. - After the first drive the enclosure cracked and broke requiring me to glue it back together. - The software is fine, but requires you to supply a good deal of personal information. - The system also can get stuck in a spot where the brakes are engaged when you're wanting them to not be. This requires you to fully engage the brakes then disengage them to reset the system. - You need to be running the app, unlocked, and in focus on your phone at all times when using this system. *You Can Not Use Your Phone* while towing with this system.

Q: My car only a 4 pin connector on it so I bought a 7 pins adaptor to be able to attach it to this wireless controller. Would it work even though there is no electric brake wire going to the 7 pins adaptor?

A: Yes as this unit doesn’t require an electric brake wire, it uses an internal sensor to determine braking.

A: If your 2012 jeep Grand Cherokee is already equipped quit a 7 pin trailer connector, then yes. This brake controller plugs into any 7 pin trailer connector. If your jeep doesn't have a 7 pin connector installed, there are kits that you can buy out there to add this connector to your vehicle. Etrailer.com is a good place to look to vet something compatible with your vehicle.

A: Yes. It is blue tooth connected to your phone. Once you have set the braking force to your requirements you can turn your phone off and it continues to work on your saved setting. Cell coverage is not required for this controller to work.
