Q: do the cuisinart stainless steel mixing bowls have grips on the bottoms? can the bowls go into oven?

A: No there is no grips at the bottom. Stainless steel bowls can be used to bake in. Cakes can be made in bowls to form a domed shape, or vegetables can be baked to a golden brown, right in the bowl. Prior to using a stainless steel bowl, be sure to grease or butter the bowl and to ensure nothing sticks to the sides. Only use stainless steel bowls that state they are safe for use in an oven.
