Great slicer for home.

The slicer is works well and is a great at home small appliance for the price. The adjustable width doesn’t stay true to size as slicing so that is a bit frustrating.

Bought this expecting it to be semi decent. It sliced the meat unevenly, there’s no way to secure it so it doesn’t slide around on the counter.

J’ai acheté cette article et je suis déçue. Elle devrait ce démonter pour le nettoyage. Seulement le plateau avant se défait mais le rack reste sur place

A: Fat chance. Your jerky will be shreds. If you even get through the whole roast before it quits on you.

Q: Can it slice fresh meat? how?

A: By fresh meat, I'm assuming you mean raw meat? If you try to cut flexible/raw meats and cheeses in a slicer, the food is going to flex away from the blade. You're going to get a poor/uneven cut, if it will cut at all. Drop the meat or cheese in the freezer for a while to stiffen it up. You don't want to freeze it solid, just harden it up a little. 30-120 minutes. Slightly frozen meat and cheese is much easier to slice and you'll get a much better and more even cut.

A: yes but I'd put the cheese in the freezer for about 10 min's otherwise a little sticky, you can cut it as is too, just easier I find by putting in the freezer.

A: called cuisinart and they say there is no blade gasket for this item and checked on internet and they say this part is discontinued.
