Cuisinart Gourmet 710 Propane BBQ

This is a well made, durable barbeque, with a large cooking area, warming rack and right-side burner. It was too complicated to assemble, so I had to hire someone to put it together for me and still needed a friend with electrical experience to install the starter. The 3 racks have lots of space for a big barbeque and the heating rack is perfect for baked potatoes. Meat cooks fairly evenly, although the back gets hotter so the meat has to be moved around while cooking. The large cabinet below keeps the propane tank clean and has lots of room for storage. The 3 heat shields rusted through after a ten years, but I ordered replacements from Cuisinart. They would have lasted longer if I had removed them for the winter, but I use the barbeque year round. I might order new grilling racks, as they are getting more difficult to clean. The rest of the barbeque has lasted for 13 years and is still going, although some of the paint is peeling at the hinges. Cleaning would be easier if the grease tray was removable, like the Weber barbeques, but it's attached at the front and back. A better design would include a removable drawer for the grease tray, so it could be slid out at the back. I have to remove 2 screws and use a slender shop vac attachment to reach in and vacuum debris and the chipmunk's acorn stash, but can't wash the tray. The small removable grease trap has rusted because the paint peeled off. It would be best to line this with a disposable tray. Despite some minor design flaws, this is the best barbeque that I have ever had.

Had this BBQ for four years used lots in summer and also quite frequently during winter .......first rate 5 star!

Purchased this BBQ about 5 years ago and it still is in excellent shape! Have not had any problems with it and really like the cast iron grates. It did take a bit to assemble it but so worth it!
