ok knives, dangerous block

We had this knife set for only about a month and a half before the glue let go between the two sections of the wood block. This allowed the steak knives to come loose and fall thru the open slots and drop to the floor, almost skewering my foot.
Was told by store that the knives are lifetime warranty, but the block was not. Will never buy Cuisinart again!
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: How come the one in store is different then one showing here ? At centrepoint mall the knife set with such product is different then one showing online . I wasted my time going to the store and then realized that it's a totally different product under the same product id showed here why ?

A: The first picture on the website is the correct picture of the current item. A year ago there was a slight modification to the item but we kept the item number the same, so it is possible that the store you went to still carried this older item. Please note that the modified version of this item has been shipping for over a year though, and therefore should be in all the Canadian Tire stores.
