Nice Breadmaking Machine

I've had to experiment some to adjust the moistness or lack of moistness of the dough during the cycles leading up to the baking process. I found that during the 2nd Knead cycle, I need to add 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon of extra flour as this machine requires that much more than recipes call for to become more elastic and springy. Once I figured that out, I had better success with the quality of the finished product, either on a dough cycle, or on a full cycle baking the bread. Every bread machine is different as I learned with my first bread machine, a Hitachi that was 40 years old before it stopped heating up. I have found over the years that every Cusinart product I've purchased was a quality product and this bread machine is no different than the rest of my Cuisinart appliances.

I was a little skeptical when my husband bought this, but we both really like it. The bread is good and healthier than store bought. I am pleasantly surprised that the gluten free bread turned out really good.

Q: I desire a real crusty crust. Can this machine produce a high quality crust?

A: It has 3 darkness settings which make it crustier depending on how dark you go. However, I made the French Bread recently and even on the lightest setting it was really nice and crusty. It's a great machine, really love it.

Q: I have made 2 loaves of whole wheat bread and both times the loaf has risen too high and stuck to the top of the machine

A: Not knowing mor info I suggest, You make sure you sift the proper amount of flour. 3-1/2 cups of flour is more than 3-1/2 cups of sifted To much yeast will also increase the size.
