Healthy Snack with Minimum Mess

I like that Cuisinart Hot Air Popper makes a healthy snack with no oil or salt and very little cleanup. I had to adjust the process slightly to minimize the number of unpopped kernels ejected by tipping the front of the machine up slightly and supporting it. This makes it harder for the unpopped kernels to escape, particularly while it is warming up. With no oil to clean up I can put the machine back in the cabinet with just a quick wipedown. My Whirlypop oil popper is still the gold standard but this air popper is great for a quick, healthy snack.

Some of the kernels start shooting out before the popping begins. The shoot should be designed with an angle to prevent this.

This machine gets very hot to touch and there is many unpopped kernels that shoot out all over the place. Not pleased at all with this machine. I generally like Cuisinart products.
