Nice grinder falling short

The grinder does grind the coffee beans into a fine mix and deposits into the chamber as supposed to. The issue I have is in the chamber that the coffee ground collect the odd shape and the general size makes transferring the grounds to a filter paper or funnel very messy. The best I am able to do is opening up the filter paper and dump it onto a flat paper and the raise the paper into the funnel shape. Still messy but the best I have been able to do. Also the bean chamber needs the weight of the beans above to push them down as the chamber reaches 1/2 full there is little reduction in grinding of the bean producing a less then favourable grounds

Rather noisy!

I had one similar... Just stopped working after a few years. Hence, I purchased this one which is a little smaller in size, but cheaper ( nice )however; the quality is not the same. I find this one, far noisier than the first. I will keep it, as I couldn't find the one I had previously.

Disappointing product..."super" grind burr mill

We received this grinder as a gift. We're not happy with it. First of all, it is VERY loud while grinding. We have other grinders to compare. This one is painfully loud. And the coffee beans don't consistently drop into the grinder. We have to shake it to keep it going. This is not easy to do. Our smaller Moulinex is much more efficient and quieter.

For the noise concern, a certain level of sound is normal during grinding, but excessive noise or interruption in bean flow may indicate the hopper is not feeding properly or that beans are getting lodged due to grind setting or fill level. We recommend ensuring the hopper is not overfilled and that beans are dry and free-flowing, as moisture or irregular bean size can affect performance. Q: Is the Cuisinart Supreme Grind Auto Burr Mill suitable for grinding spices? Is there a smaller version for spices? I definitely want a burr mill not blades.

A: Perhaps it will last longer if only used for grinding small amount of spices. Please be cautious of toasting whole spice before putting them in the hopper as there is a lot of plastic and I don't think it was meant for that purpose. the heat may cause problems.
