Tank was full of plastic shavings

Fuel tank was full of plastic shavings from assembly. Same price as a OEM tank. I expected more. Great little fuel cell otherwise.

Marine Fuel Tank

The overall construction is good. The major issue I encountered was the fuel pick up port was not high enough to allow the fitting for an OMC fuel hose to be screw in!

LEAKS

Bought it a week ago and it leaks gasoline all over the place. The cap doesn't seal properly, nor does the valve.
No, I do not recommend this product.

A: The tank should only be used laying on its back. It can be transported upright via the handle when all openings are closed.

A: ALL mercury fittings will fit a Scepter tank. Scepter tanks accepts standard ¼ NPT marine tank fittings. This is an industry standard and all marine fittings should be designed with a ¼ NPT thread pattern. Please use Teflon Tape to ensure a 100% leaf-proof seal when installing the fuel connector.
