excellent camp companion

from an avid camper, this lantern is a perfect addition to your must haves. for me, the main appeal was the compact size, as the lantern itself is packed into a small box for transporting then just screws onto a propane cylinder (i would recommend packing it into the box at the end of each use to protect it from being damaged). the dial for light intensity is very easily adjustable as each turn clicks into a spot, and the brightness is set. i have had it for about 5 years and used it probably 6-8 times each season. have never had to replace the mantle, globe or any other parts. again, when packing the trunk of a small car, this lantern is perfect because it takes almost no space, and yet delivers in terms of performance. highly recommend.

Ive traditionally used the old kerosene lanterns for ages before finally trying this lantern. Ive only used this lantern now for the last 3 years. In that time it's proved itself time and time again. Ive only had to replace the mantel once. It is easy to use and provides you with bright bright lightning around the nighttime campsite. One of my must haves when camping.

regret purchase

I purchased this item and when we got to the camp ground the glass was broke and the bag torn. we purchased a new glass but it is so thin that it broke once again. There should be something to protect the glass such as a case or wire mesh around the glass.The lantern itself works great if you can get to where you are going without the glass breaking. I would recommend one with a case.

Q: Can this be used indoors? Does his lantern produce harmful amounts of carbon monoxide? Propane usually burns clean. We have a propane oven/stove in our travel trailer. It is safe. Is this lantern safe for indoor use?
