Using 3 panels for 120W total output for 5 years

I have been using three of these 40W solar panels running in parallel to charge a small 150WH power station, and they work fine, easily charging the power station in a couple of hours on a sunny day. I don't baby them -- I scrap off the snow and ice in the winter -- and after five years full-time outside the panels are still fine.
As other people have mentioned, I also found the charge controller that comes in the box to be very limited; it is best for use with just one panel. It can handle up to 7A, so maybe three panels max, but you will need to do your own wiring to connect them. Fortunately my power station has a much better built-in charge controller.
BTW, the manufacturer of the solar panels sells a combiner wiring device that lets you plug in half-a-dozen solar panels with SAE connectors and have one combined output. I use that. You can find details if you examine the info in the box and google them.
I gave this product only three stars because (for me) the charge controller was of no use, and these panels are below the industry average in terms of $/W of power output. However, the solar panels work fine and have lasted. Just be prepared to be disappointed in the supplied charge controller and cables for anything but more complicated than using one panel to charge one battery.

The charge controllers work just fine. Yes, the batteries will charge at a higher voltage than the nominal charge value of the battery and indeed these charge controllers will stop charging when the overall battery gets to the 14.2 volts. Don't trust some guy with a voltmeter who doesn't know what he's doing or measuring

40 watt Solar panel

Works great for me. I’m basically using it as a trickle charger. Don’t expect to power your house but it keeps my battery charged up after intermittent use. I have purchased the single 40 watt panel in the past.

Si elle continu a clignoter jaune tout l'temps c'est a cause qu'il y a quelque chose qui tire toujours du courrant de ta batterie ou bien la batterie es defectueuse. Si tu crois que la batterie es defectueuse, branche la a un chargeur intelligent pour que celui ci restaure la batterie : détecte automatiquement la sulfation de la batterie et la stratification d'acide pour restaurer la performance de la batterie perdue et de retrouver une durée de vie prolongée. Q: I have 3 panels and would like to connect all to charge a 12V deep cycle battery. I also purchased a 4-1 adapter. How do connect? 3 panels to 4-1 adapter to 1 of the kit's charge controller? Controller specs 7 amp so 3 panels together should be ok, right?

A: The Coleman 40W Crystalline Solar Panel, 2-pk (2995775P) is a 12V battery charger, it is not an ideal choice for using as a heating generator for a pool. We would advise looking at solar pool heaters - they are quite common and work as you require without the need for a battery.
