Q: does this need a license? what's the max range?
a year agoA: Hello, 1. No license required. 2. There’s no published range for a VHF Marine radio because it depends on the curvature of the earth. Basically, if you have a radio 6” in the air (held by a person) the curvature of the earth limits the signal range to 6.94 miles.
