Clam Drill Auger Conversion Kit

$139.99

Product Details

  • Clam Drill Auger Conversion Kit allows an angler to use an 18 volt cordless drill as the “power” to drill your holes

  • Ball bearing absorbs the load from the auger so the drill is only used to spin the auger and not to support the auger torque

  • Attach your auger bit just like you normally would on a power auger

  • No hassle, no worry setup and no loose bits - just pull the trigger, drill and start fishing

  • Extremely lightweight and portable

  • Recommend for use with high torque 18V lithium battery powered drills

A quality built wrist saver!

Easy assembly and adjustment to fit my drill. It could use a washer or two to lessen the slop in the pivot points but that's an easy fix, and it'll still work fine with the wiggle. Best feature? You hold it like a regular auger and if it catches near the bottom of the hole it doesn't role your wrist like if you're just holding the drill. Had this happen towards the end of last season, fortunately not sprained which some folks have suffered. The Clam adaptor is the solution! A very satisfied buyer!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Bought it and love it!

Bought it last years, was just what i was looking for, I didn't want to maintain another gas powered tool, I have to bring my Drill on the ice anyway to drill my auger anchor for my ice fishing tent. If you have sharp blades this thing will cut whole, without any problem, brought a friend ice fishing last year, he was quite skeptical about it at first, but was quite suprised when he saw the thing at work.

Great option for drill augers

It works very well but be warned you need adapter to mount to other drills like nils and K drill, I had to custom make an adapter for my nils auger, but it is awesome now!

nice and save the drill shaft from having the weight of the auger. But too expensive.

Q: Why would you sell this conversion kit when you don't sell the auger bit as well?

1 Answer
  • A: Clam offers the conversion kit with and without the bit. We have the version without the bit because most customers already have the manual auger. With this unit there is more flexibility on which manual auger our customer may want to attach to it, whether it be a 6” or 8” etc. In addition, most of our manual augers go for 20% of on promotion so it is easy for the customer to bundle up.
