Q: How do you adjust the heat setting on these? There is no on/off or temperature setting. I purchased 2 and they both get very hot and do not turn off.

    1 Answer
    • A: You can do one of two things: A) the unit itself does not come with a thermostat however they can purchase and install the DTK-SP (CTC Sku: 052-8593-6) which was recently listed by CTC. They will then be able to adjust the temperature on the unit itself. B) they can hook up the baseboard to a wall mounted thermostat either existing (if they’ve replaced an older baseboard) or purchase a new wall mount thermostat. **If they did not have a wall mount thermostat to begin with, I’d suggest the built-in version from option A as this will not require any extra wiring whereas the wall mount version will. Note that the thermostat they purchase needs to be a line voltage (for electrical heating products) and not a low voltage which is for central heating/cooling systems. Any heating product that does not have or is not connected to a thermostat will run until it essentially burns out! The thermostat is what controls the temperature and the on/off functionality. Once it realizes it has hit the desired temperature, it shuts off until needed again.
