J'étais bien heureux d'avoir une plinthe compact avec un look plus moderne , mais je regrette amèrement mais ancienne plinthe qui etaient sans bruit. Ce modele est tres bruyant et le bruit s'accentue avec les années. L'enfer.... impossile d'arrêter tous ces bruits....

Q: How deep/thick is this heater, i.e. how far does it stick out from the wall? Looking for one that is 2" deep or less. Thank you.

A: The 1000 W Chromalox Eclipse baseboard is 2 3/8 inches deep if installed without the spacers. If installed with the spacers it is 3 inches. We recommend installing the unit with the spacers, but both installation methods are acceptable and respect CSA standards.

Q: does it have a built in thermostat or do you need to buy it seperate?

A: This baseboard does not have a built in thermostat. There are 2 thermostats available that you can mount directly on the unit: DTK-SP or DTK-DP. The SP model is single pole and the DP is double pole. The single pole unit will turn on automatically if temperature drop below 4 degree Celsius to prevent frost. The double pole will allow you to turn off the unit completely. The 2 thermostats are not available in store but are now available on the Canadian Tire website.
