Easy to install! Easy for us to use. Works in the summer and the winter without issue. Only issue is to charge the battery once and a while.

takes several tried, battery won't charge

It takes at least 2 tries, usually more to open or close the door. Goes off line frequently. (The actual garage door opener doesn't have network issues and stays connected 24/7 but the pad is crap) Battery is shot in less then a month, doesn't ever charge fully.

WiFi connection

Installed four of these units within 15 feet of my Wi-Fi router. Unfortunately, all four units frequently disconnect from the network and lose connection. While the physical design and hardware build are nice, the connectivity has not been stable enough for daily use, which is disappointing given my good experience with other myQ products.

Q: Can you open and close the door remotely through the app? Will it notify you if the door has been left open?

A: Yes you can open and close the door remotely from anywhere. You can also see the open or close status by looking at the app. You can set up to get an alert notification at the time the door is opening or closing. To know if it’s been left open at any point you’d have to open the app - it does show a live status ie “garage closed for 2 hours” or “garage open for 15 minutes”

Q: Can it be programmed to operate two garage doors?

A: Yes I believe so. I would not get this though. The original key pad that flips open is the best. It can be programmed for sure for 2 so you only need one. The main problem with these is the battery runs out in months. And you have to buy their proprietary battery($$$). A much better setup is buy one old school key pad that flips open (buy their brand I suggest— there’s off brands out there), then get a couple blink cameras and use outdoor gorilla tape to stick them somewhere if you prefer not to drill. Those blink camera batteries require battery changes in years not months and they take regular batteries (need lithium ones, but easy to find). You can also hard wire blink cameras. This is what I did, solid setup. Hope it helps.

A: The myQ Video Keypad is compatible with both WIFI enabled Chamberlain or LiftMaster garage door openers and non-Chamberlain-produced garage door openers that use the myQ Smart Garage Control. Once the Video Keypad is successfully installed it will communicate with the myQ hub via myQ to open and close your garage door.
