very disappointed with Canadian Tire

they listed this sprayer as the pro model, even listed the model number, but actually sell in place a basic model. Im surprised no reviews mention the huge difference, even the picture of the product is different

Better than average

Looking for a better than average sprayer. The 4 liter jug type just couldn't do it. Needed a nozzle that can go from a stream to a mist and can be used for different application. I also purchased when it was on sale, an added bonus

Did I just get a lemon?

Half price and still a poor buy. This unit leaks everywhere! Fortunately, I had trouble wearing it as a backpack and merely carried it around the yard. I had dye in the mix and every place I stopped to pump was stained blue for a couple of weeks. Just happy that it wasn't on me.

Poor Design

I just bought this and will be returning it after one use. My partner found it heavy and cumbersome, especially when full. The harness does not hold the backpack in place. The tank sits too low or the chest straps choke the wearer at the neck. The handle has to be pumped continuously while spraying. My partner ended up sitting on the tailgate of our JD Gator and spraying while I drove him around the small field. It was a good price but this design needs to go back to the drawing board.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: What is the maximum vertical distance the unit will spray towards the crown of a tree?

A: You never want to spray upwards as you will cover yourself with dangerous pesticides which could result in death or serious liver damage. Spraying a tree is ALWAYS best left to the professionals. This product is for lawns.

Q: Can I use this to wash the outside of my windows? I would like to put a small amount of detergent in the mix for one spray and then with clean water spray it off. Could this unit do that?

A: Thank you for your inquiry and question regarding this Chapin 4 gallon back pack sprayer. If you are using a non-harsh, standard light detergent and mixing the correct water detergent ratio this back pack will work perfect. However I highly recommend once you are done washing your windows that you fully rinse/clean the back pack out by running water through the lines a few times, rinsing out the back pack bucket and keeping the top off to air dry for 24hr hours.

A: This Back Pack is not equipped with the proper seals for spraying acetone through it and you will never be able to completely clean it. We do offer a 3 and 2 gallon acetone sprayer that would perfect for what you are looking for and those Part #’s are 21127XP and 21627.

A: We don’t recommend using stain in this back pack as it would be extremely difficult to clean it out after use. The internal pressure chamber would not come clean and could eventually clog up.
