Great tool just dont use as advertised

Not very strong, great for small snap rings but to say its good for medium snap rings is a bit of a stretch, they say 2" but all points snapped on a 44mm internal snap ring, Went out and bought a Heavy duty set to get the snap rings out from a different retailer as CDN tire did not have a heavier duty set in stock

Best choice for DIYer

I think these pliers are the best choice for the occasional use DIYer who wants to buy one quality tool that will take care of all their retaining clip needs. I have found the US-made Channellock brand to be very reliable. This tool is spring-loaded and convertible between internal and external operation. This means that on one setting, the pliers will open when you squeeze the handle together and on the other setting it will close when you squeeze the handle. Very useful feature. It comes with 5 pairs of changeable tips which includes both straight and 90-degree tips that allow for use in different applications, rather than having a variety of pliers. The frequent user who needs to switch tips for different applications may find it tedious to loosen and tighten the set screws to switch tips back and forth. I’ve used once and worked it worked well. Would have given 5-stars, but the INT/EXT labelling on the tool is incorrect on one side of the tool.
