Great Transfer Utility Power to Generator

We purchased the Champion Transfer Switch for the ease of use with our portable Champion 6500 Generator. We needed 30 Amps to run our household during a power outage and this switch worked perfectly for our needs. The kit came with the transfer switch box, a power cord, and a power inlet box.
We hired an electrician to install the transfer switch and he showed us what to do when switching from our circuit breaker box to the transfer box which was very easy. The electrician also installed a power inlet box on the outside where the generator will run which was connected to the transfer switch box. The generator is hooked up to the power cord which is plugged into the power inlet box.
We have not had to use the generator yet since we have not had any power outages yet after purchasing the generator. But it is a peace of mind know that if we have any hurricanes like last year with Hurricane Helene and Milton that we will be able to easily switch to our portable generator with the flip of a switch without have to plug in several extension cords into the generator. The Champion transfer switch is a great product to use in conjunction with the Champion Generator!

Solved issue with access to fridge power cord!

We had a portable generator for some time. However, we still had the issue of connecting to our refrigerator. There was no way to access the refrigerator plug. With this product, we can now keep the refrigerator, freezer and other selected breakers powered during outages.

This product was returned as my electrician chose to configure a generator link instead. Much cheaper.

A: I returned mine and my electrician installed a Generlink transfer switch instead. Much easier, covers more, and much more convenient.

Although you did not provide a model number, if your unit is 3,400 watts, it is unlikely to provide 240V output, which would mean it will not be compatible with this 30-amp transfer switch.
