With a 0.8-gallon fuel tank and 0.5-quart oil capacity, this engine features a low oil shut-off sensor, a smooth pull start and has an OHV design for clean operation. Suitable for retrofitting to various types of equipment including pressure washers, compressors and other gas-powered tools, it has a cast iron sleeve and a ball bearing-supported crankshaft for durable performance.

Took me 30 minutes to install on my 27 ton splitter. Easy/peasy. Much quieter than the old motor. All controls are easier to reach. Love the fuel gauge.

my wood splitter engine was very tired and it was time to replace it. I ordered a champion 224 replacement and was pleased to find how easy it was to change out the old engine and replace it with my new engine, as well I was amazed at the first startup 'only 3 pulls'. well done

Engine is good, starts right away, easy to install on my craftman tiller. The only concern is that the gas pickup in the tank is located very high so it runs out of fuel when there's still almost half a tank left. Other than that very good engine.

Log splitter motor

I bought this item but unfortunately was the incorrect motor for my log splitter. I did contact the company directly and found out how to modify it so it operated properly.

Q: What is the length of the crank shaft from the back of the motor? Is the length of the shaft 2.4" I would like to use it to replace a GX140 Honda motor on a small snow blower. Is it a clone of a Honda motor and will it be a direct replacement for that motor.
