A must have on the acreage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this Chipper/Shredder after a storm knocked down 6 big poplar trees on my acreage. It made it very easy to clean up the mess and saved me from having to haul away all of the branches in multiple trips. The wood chips are also nice to use around the yard afterwards. The motor itself has always started without issue and runs until the work is done. Very happy with it.

Very powerful, pulls the larger wood right out of your hand when feeding it. It takes a 3" piece but make sure it's straight if using the full 3 " branches or it may get stuck/jammed. Using the top feeder works well but some smaller branch pieces can be passed through unchipped. Overall the 20:1 chip ratio is good and provides a nice breakdown. I would have given it 5 stars as it was easy to setup and use, however one of the main hopper screws posts that are physically mounted to the big hopper sheared off while tightening. (Not overtightened at all) There are 4 main base bolts holding the hopper along with the 1 remaining front bolt so I'm not too concerned but since it's a welded screw post, I'll have to drill out the broken screw and use a nut/bolt to secure this properly. Overall pleased aside from the screw issue.
