These have worked perfectly since I installed them and the process is super easy, took me all of ten minutes to get them installed and tested

Great option for quick and efficient replacement and upgrade of sensors.

Bought to replace 15 year old sensors that were malfunctioning on my Liftmaster Jackshaft garage door opener. They were easy to install, align and worked immediately after plugging in the unit without any programming or cycling. 4 Stars because the wire connectors are not the best as they require a bend in the wire, as they run perpendicular to the actual wires which looks bulky and unsightly.

      Works but Also Harmful

My garage door opener needed new sensors and this seemed a good fit. Easy to install and it works. That’s also where the pros end. It’s priced higher than HD so not good value even when I paid using CT money. It has a Prop 65 warning because it contains lead and other toxic chemicals that are known to cause cancer and harm productive health. No other details can be found on the instructions or Chamberlain website. First of all, it is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE to continue to use known toxic substances to poison the people and the planet. In this case, Chamberlain must explain WHY it continues the toxic practices. Secondly, affixing a warning label is the bare minimum to be compliant with Prop 65 and far from enough; Chamberlain must specify the specific types of toxins used, how they were used and concentration. Thirdly, it must include any harm mitigation strategies. I turn off power to the garage door opener so the sensors are off most of the time; not sure if it helps with harm reduction but they should last longer this way. I strongly recommend against getting this product if you have young kids or plan to have one. It is also disappointing that CT still carries this toxic product instead of sourcing safer alternatives that don’t use lead or other toxic materials.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: I bought these sensors but just realized the Sears Craftsman Garage Door I have is from 1994. Package says 1997 or later, anyway they would work on the 1994 model at all?

      • A: We do apologize, they would not be compatible with your opener.

Q: Are these sensors compatible with a 1995 Liftmaster 41A4252-7B

      • A: They probably are. I had to replace mine (2009) because the wire had a short. The new sensors are basically the same. If the new ones don’t work, Canadian Tire will assist you if you keep the original packaging.

Q: Why is one light green and the other orange? Are they supposed to be different... As my current ones are green/orange but I though that is because they're broken.

      1 Answer
      • A: Yes, you are to have a green light and orange light. One is transmitting the beam and the other is receiving. When they are both on they are aligned. When they are out they are miss aligned.
