I have had to buy this hydraulic oil for TDH loader, and price is too high for 18.9 litres at $5.98 per litre which while in bulk is almost as expensive as regular motor oil at $6.31 per litre in 5 litre jugs while on sale!

A: Spirax S4 TXM is a synthetic oil and this oil is conventional, you can mix it but are defeating the benefits of buying synthetic oil.

Q: Is this the same as MM TDH? Answers on this product suggest so, and even an answer by CanadianTireTeam states "They are the same product" I'm just trying to confirm viscosity specs for cold weather use.

A: I have been using it in my Allis 6080 and the hydraulics on the loader work ok as expected in cold weather - a little slower in sub zero temps on start up, but fine once the engine and oils warm up. Normal I'd say.

Q: Is this oil yellow metal safe?

A: If you're concerned about brass components corroding, you should be looking for an oil with low or no zinc content. I've used this oil in my hydrostatic transmissions for years with no issues. To be honest I don't know what the zinc content is , or if there is any in this product. Might have to contact the manufacturer for the specifications. Hopefully this helps.
