You will hurt someone with this tool

The handle is poorly connected to the head. I have had one crack off striking soft green spruce logs to split and the head will fly toward you or someone else

Q: How is this hatchet for throwing?

A: We do not recommend using any axe for throwing or any other unconventional uses as it could lead to injury or even loss of life.

Q: dose grip fall of? my last hatchet had a bad grip if would fall of easaly

A: The handle is a one piece design with etchings in it to provide grip. I chose to put some grip tape on it to avoid any slipping in humid and sweaty hand situations.
