For a very light job.

The rope is too light and the pulleys not robust enough. I got this to hoist the back if my snowmobile in my garage to put wheels under it (to move the sled around the garage easily). When you’re pulling the rope, it’s too thin and cuts through your hands.

A: The load end is the end opposite of the end that the rope comes off the final pulley. In other words, the pulley where the rope comes out should be at the top.

Q: Le palan a 1000 lb de capacité mais les instructions anglaises et françaises disent qu'il faut l'accrocher à une structure capable de supporter au moins 150 lb. Quelqu'un peut m'expliquer ?

Q: once you have made the lift, can you lock the rope in that position

A: There is no lock on the hoist but you could wound the rope several times around the cleat or make a holder on the wall then the rope can be locked in position.

A: Place the two empty metal sheet blocks end to end, then thread the rope from one side block's bottom into the other block's bottom and pull the rope out and then thread it from up side. Repeat the process until the rope is threading the last line. Finally, lock the rope line with the plastic sheaf.

Q: What size rope is compatible with this hoist?

A: The standard of our rope is 5mm x 65ft, capacity 550 lb. If the customer is looking to replace the rope due to breaking, the vendor recommends they do not do that due to the high technical aspects of the hoist and the fact that it is used for lifting heavy objects. If it is installed incorrectly, it could cause injury. For safety concerns, it is suggested the customer purchase another unit.
