Essential Winter Driving Safety Tool

I bought a pair in 2019 and have loved them. They are light weight, flexible, and easy to use. I keep them in my trunk all year long, and they've gotten me, friends and other fellow drivers unstuck quickly and effectively on multiple occasions - including on sheer ice uphill, and in both wet and dry deep snow. Others might possibly be rating this product poorly because of user error - you of course should/need to shovel snow away from your tires first, and make sure there is no snow catching the vehicle's undercarriage; you then place the mat tightly behind or in front of tires, depending which direction you want to go. However, if these mats are too expensive for your budget, you can always try to use your mud mats from the inside of your car (rubber ones ideally, fabric ones may not provide enough grip but worth a try in a bind), and use them the same way as this product, if you don't mind cleaning/drying them afterwards.
