Terrible product

Maybe it was just the attractant, or maybe they were going in and coming back out. But this trap was installed, instructions followed, and placed 8ft from an active wasp nest. It caught exactly zero wasps in 24 hours.

Thank you for sharing your experience, Dan. Since you placed the trap near an active nest, it’s possible the wasps were too focused on nest activity to be drawn to the attractant. You might get better results by moving the Catchmaster Jacket Jar a few yards away into a sunny, open spot and ensuring it’s filled to the water line to fully activate the lure. Adding a small amount of food—like tuna or canned chicken in spring, or something sweet like syrup or overripe fruit later in the season—can also boost attraction.
