Poor Quality

The slight grooves on the barbell are enough to scrape off the protective coating on the plates. It's brittle and leaves a lot of grit on the barbell. It blows off easily, but the coating is nearly scraped clean inside the 2"hole. I've used them 3 times and tried to slide the plates on carefully to prevent that.
My old threaded bar used similar plates, and they are still in great condition. The quality of these plates are suspect. One came with a slag drip on it. It was brittle and I was able to chip it off with Minor damage to the plate. The slag drop was several times larger than the little hole left in the protective coating after having me chisel and file it down.

These are actually great. A little expensive but that’s how it’s going right now. They are perfectly accurate weight which is rare with cast plates.
