They are really quite nice at night. We bought 2 sets to hang on the top of a pergola and being solar no plugs are required. I only gave them 4 stars as I wish they would have been a wee bit brighter, and the wire is very thin light gauge.

Q: Can i leave this outdoor on winter time?

A: I leave mine outside all year around and they still work in winter (and look good too). The only drawback is I think it shortens the lifespan of the lights. The wires get brittle after a couple of years and break but for the price and pleasure I get seeing them lit up in January it is worth it!

Q: Is there a clear film over the solar panel on this product? I haven't had any success in finding one to remove to start charging the battery.
