Beautiful fixture but poorly put together

The light itself is beautiful, but it's not well-built nor easy to install. When I opened the box, I suspected it was a returned item but I was eager to get it up, so I continued. The steps are pretty straight-forward: add bracket, ground the wire through the green screw, then ground to the ceiling, white to white, black to black, screw on the light, and then attach the shade. Sounds easy enough, right? Not quite. The ground (bare copper) wire was poorly attached to the light's base. It was frayed even before I touched it and continued unraveling as I was completing the other steps. When I went to attach the screws to mount the light to the ceiling, it just snapped off rendering the light unusable. Second, the screws to mount the light to the ceiling were too short; I went back to Canadian Tire to get a longer version and was handed the wrong size again. That's something else I'll have to return tomorrow.
