Sticker adhesive truly diabolical

Having read other reviews regarding the nastiness of the sticker residue, I was feeling clever about simply peeking up the corner in the store. Since the order came up easily, I purchased with confidence. This was a mistake. Dropped it off with my friend to laser engrave it, and he DID manage to remove the sticker without damaging the tray - but once lasered, a bunch of adhesive residue that was IN THE WOOD STILL came up. Used 3M Adhesive Remover I happened to have on hand and it turned out fine, but I can absolutely see someone wrecking the tray surface on this undertaking. It is however, a vey pretty tray of good size and heft. I like the tray, but the process was mid tier at best.

The tray looks great. My concern is when you look at the bottom of it, it isn't built very well. I wish I would have checked it before purchase. Hopefully it wears well!

Nice Tray - Terrible Adhesive on the Label

This tray is solidly made and is a great size. I was hoping to give it as a gift but the sticker on it was nearly impossible to remove. I have tried multiple ways of removing the sticker - heat, soap, Goo Gone and more and it still has a sticky residue left behind. Since the sticker covers two thirds of the tray it cannot be used.
