Q: I just opened it for the first time, it tilts, but not quite perpendicular to the short side of the rectangle, on a bit of a wonky angle. Seems like the rib holding/lift mechanism is not lined up on the pole with the tilt button -can this be straightened

A: Not sure, but I would return it... I got one summer out of it and the rope that opens it snapped. Too expensive to be buying every year!

Q: Which way does this umbrella (#088-2072-8) tilt? The user manual suggests it tilts on the shorter (6') axis and would have a 'portrait' orientation when tilted. Can it tilt on the longer (9') axis so that it has a 'landscape' orientation when tilted?
