manufacturing issue

Love the style / colour and the quality of canvas however the tilt function made of cast aluminum crack and broke in the second week. Since then I have been trying a variety of duct tape solutions but now admit defeat. I should have taken it back right away. Someone needs to make a fix for this breakage as too many end up in landfill. My advise is leave out the tilting function entirely.

Bought less then a month ago. Gears stripped in the up/down mechanism. Cheap quality. Buy at your own risk.

The first time I set up the umbrella the button for the tilt got stuck, and would not go back to straighten the pole. The pole feels really flimsy - more so than the cheaper umbrellas, but I wanted the tilt option. Didn't realize I could never get it off tilt after using it!

No, I do not recommend this product.
