Not even 12Hrs of use and E1 message won't go away.

We haven't even owned this fireplace for 12Hrs and E1 error message displayed. Followed instruction manual in order to reset, no difference.
Complete waste of money so far, hopefully no-one depends on this for primary heat.
Now I need to take time out of my day in order to get help with warranty.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Great little fireplace

I bought this a few months back. We love it. I removed a baseboard heater and put this in instead. It provides noticeably more heat because of the fan, which in my opinion is not loud.

Bought this on sale, I was going to use it in my basement office. Looks nice, works as described, has an auto shut off, heats up my office in no time at all. Awesome!

I just brought my Canvas Milla Fireplace home.and red manual online.

The size is compact for a 1400 watt fIreplace.
All functions worked properly but when I turned heat on...the fan was too loud fo this 400 sq. ft. room.
I will not keep it. Althouh I suppose in a large room, as ambient faux fireplace feel, the loud fan sound may seem less.
Disappointed because I spent time to research insert model most appealing for my white modern mantel. It is unfortunate Canvas Milla didn't go the extra mile to install quieter fan motor.. They almost had a five star winner. Gave it 2 out of 5.
No, I do not recommend this product.

A: Re previous answer ... I don't see why not since you can hang it on the wall. If that doesn't affect the air flow being up on the wall why would the walls surface/finish change anything? Think about it.

Q: Is there any ability to operate this with an automated on/off timer? i.e.: Program it to turn on at a specific time, and/or to turn off at a specific time, whether that be through its built-in features or an external timer?

A: The fireplace is having timer function but not the program function. It can set 0.5hr to 9hrs working time. Don't use external timer.

A: The unit itself doen't come really hot when its ON. The only place that come hot, it's the front grill where the hot air come out

Q: Does the thermostat control both the flame and the heater so that both turn off when the desired temperature is reached and comes back on when the thermostat calls for heat (similar to thermostat controlled gas units)?

A: Gene, no, the thermostat is only control the heat. The flame control is independent.

A: It could and it would not be too hot. No different than if it was sitting on the floor. Please ensure that the cedar chest is level to avoid tipping.
