I bought this set today after we finished building our gazebo on the weekend. It comes already assembled all tucked into one box. Just had to open the box and put in place. In less than 30 minutes we now have a beautiful outdoor space to share with friends and family. Great quality very comfortable. Looking forward to our staycations this summer!! For our price range we were really looking for something that looks good, has a flexable layout, is easy to maintain and also easy to store away for the winter. The Denman set checked all the boxes for us. We were also looking at the Bala set which has alot of similar features and was temporarily the same cost as the Denman when reduced to a sale price. The Denman won for us for several reasons. Unlike the Bala the denman comes assembled in the box, and when you see the box you will wonder how it all fits, but this is literally the storage size of the whole set, when you pull it out you will be surprised to see its almost all the same size as the bala, yet only weighs half as much. I spend some time comparing quality and trying to assess durability I would say that the Denman is just as sturdy as the Bala but the specs show that the denman can actually hold over 20 lbs more weight per seat. The materials they are made from are almost identical in frame colour though they do differ slightly in cushion colour and materials the two sets are made from (compare specification charts on the product page). The warranty and maintenance will be the same. The bala has 2 ottomans that can be used as tables or seats and have a nice wood grain , the denman ottomans are smaller and do not have the wood grain instead just wicker tops but can still be used in the same way. The denman comes with a nice size coffee table that you can not get with the Bala set. The table has a wood grain featured top and to me this could actually be used as an additional bench seat if needed for an extra 2 people. Though the love seat does not separate in half with an option to make a larger couch like the bala this set still proved to have the far more flexable setup for our needs overall. The cushions have a nice charcoal colur and you can feel the quality is really good for a set in this price range. Really happy overall, this set is lighter easier to store and has the flexability to go from just being a love seat and coffee table to a full featured set. Its nice to be able to reduce the space the set needs and less than a minute have full seating capacity when we all want to enjoy some BBQ outside. When it comes time to re arrange it or store it I won't have to call for a second person to help which is great. This set is part or a collection exclusive to Canadian Tire. I looked at other big box stores and discount surplus dealers yet still could not find this quality and value elsewhere without spending two to five times as much. Finding a better product or warranty in the same price range is unlikley. After shopping around I couldn't even find a similar product for a similar price anywhere else including internet searches. The Canvas Denman is a big little conversation set that punches above its weight. I couldn't find any other set this big that can be stored for the winter in a space as small as it takes up. The Denman set is a great compliment to the patio and is a huge win for our backyard overall.
