Great for high sloped ceilings

Took me a while to figure out how to adjust the wires. Pulling them shorter was straight forward but extending them was tricky. The instructions make no mention that you need to push in a spring loaded pin on the underside of the canopy to extend the wires. Once I figure it out it was smooth sailing.

Q: How do I shorten the wire in the middle?

A: Perhaps a little late to help. But CTC's answer was trivial and the instructions included with the unit just seemed to cover the general connection instructions that apply to any ceiling connection. Yes you can pull the central cable through the canopy but first you have to loosen a very small plastic screw in the small collar below the canopy. Then you need to cut the wire with wire cutters, strip the outer sheath and strip the individual wires ready to attach with the twist connectors. I found it impossible to make any kind of aesthetic arrangement of the central wire winding around the 3 suspension wires so I just put it straight up the middle. But I must readjust it so the weight will straighten it out. It is easy to see why this fixture seems to be discontinued - it is a bear to install. But once up it is quite an attractive fixture. The large globe distributes the light nicely.
