Bought this yesterday, spent all Day assembling and reassembling due to unclear instructions . Once done dissatisfied with quality very flimsy , and I put something in the top drawer and it fell apart had to put back together and now can’t put anything I had hoped in the drawers Looks nice but isn’t worth it

A: You build it yourself so you probably could just leave off the legs. I don’t know the height is affected but you could make a guess the legs look to be about 5 or 6 inches

Q: Would the shelving unit still be stable if I leave the back off and have the shelves with an open back? Is the back one piece of hardboard/plywood?

A: Dear Jennifer, The back panel is made of 2.7mm MDF board (similar to hardboard). We would suggest to keep the back panel which will make the unit more stable. Otherwise it may be a little shaky.

Q: If the bottom of the middle drawer is left off, and somehow joined on the inside to the bottom drawer, would the height of the bottom two drawers together be large enough to hold files?
