awkward mounting coil doesn't fit a regular tree top

beautiful star but the attachment coil doesn't
fit the tree top we have. it's made for a fat tree trunk . my tree's upper point branch is slim and not rigid, so this star falls over after mounting . I'm not knocking the design, just be aware that it's not made for flimsy tree tops. maybe you can magiver something but I wasn't willing to experiment with fitting the wire cage to the tree top.
