Questionable design

I bought this yesterday and tried it out today. DO NOT USE IT in cold weather. The zoom is very stiff indoors and doesn't work outdoors (cold). You will only succeed in stripping the eyepiece threads. It has a huge objective for a spotting scope, but whoever designed it didn't know how to make (plastic) threads fit tightly. At high power (90X) you have to take off your glasses as there is no eye relief and it seems you are looking down a narrow tunnel. It was on sale, but still too expensive if it doesn't work. Almost impossible to use for stargazing.

Returning it. Quality issues

Just got it out if the box and tried it. Immediately noted sticky focus knob that binds then releases and throws the site picture. Ever since they went Away from japan their quality has gone down hill. Really too bad. Would not buy again.

Coté positif, un grossissement de 90x... Wow! Côté négatif, il y en a plusieurs. Premièrement, lorsque j'ai regardé le démonstrateur en magasin, il était défait en deux. L'objectif s'était détaché du corps, car les filets de plastique semblaient avoir cédé sous le poids de l'objectif qui est assez lourd. Ce qui laisse penser à une mauvaise qualité, mais comme il avait 50% de rabais, j'ai pris une chance. Le vendeur m'en a sorti un autre tout neuf. Ce dernier avait un défaut esthétique au niveau du caoutchouc où on met l'oeil. Le troisième semblait parfait, je l'ai donc acheté. Deuxièmement, il est difficile de faire la mise au point, car après avoir visé notre cible, si on utilise le bouton de mise au point, le mécanisme interne se déplace et on perd notre cible de vue. Également, lorsque la mise au point est bonne et qu'on change le grossissement, il faut refaire la mise au point. Finalement, le trépied ne voulait pas se visser au télescope. Les filets de ce dernier avaient reçu un coup et étaient inutilisables. J'ai dû les refaire.
