    browning leverage .177

Bought this gun as it was on clearance at my local store and I was in the need of a newer pellet gun for magpie control. did the research and was looking for a fixed barrel and this gun got great reviews. I had no need for a 500+fps rifle. I noticed that the windage of the gun was factory set in the far left position and when I fired it with open sights at 15 yards it was 1.5 inches right of center. even at 5 yards it was still .5 of an inch to the right. Tried the scope and it was 6 inches to the right barely cutting the edge of the target. With the scope adjusted as far as it could go I was still and inch to the right and could not adjust it further. Contacted the help center and they stated that it was definitely outside their parameters and to return it to the store. will try another and see if it is any better...

    Great Air Rifle

Bought this air rifle 2 months ago. I've had a few over the years and bar none, this one is very, very good value for the money. As accurate as one could expect for the velocity of the pellet. At 20 to 3o yards, you can group a dozen pellets in a quarter size hole and that's without doing a proper bench rest. Picked it up on sale so that always helps making it exceptional value. Now looking at buying a stiffer spring, one used in similar models that offer close to 1000 ft/sec. At that velocity, you could utilize the air rifle for very small varmints, grouse, etc. Hope this helps with anyone thinking of this purchase. Neil Calgary

    Very accurate, well built rifle

An excellent, accurate shooter. Often punches a ragged hole at 10 yards off a rest. Dime sized groups 20-25yds without much fuss. Shoots nice and flat if sighted at 20 yards, out to 40+ yards, then hold-overs are the norm for any rifle in this fps category. This rifle likes Stoeger Xfield .177 pellets. It shoots standard Crosman Premier hp and others like RWS Superdomes very well. It is not pellet-fussy or hold-sensitive at all. It's built like a tank, and weighs heavy. Not for every kid or those of us with slighter builds. Mine is just shy of 10 lbs scoped. Cocking effort is medium to light, and quite smooth. Length of pull is not too long nor too short. Just right. Beefy, hand-filling stock, made from well finished beechwood. The grain on my example is gorgeous, and I have seen other examples with nice wood graining. Blueing and details very good. Would have liked to see swivels supplied for longer field use. No biggie for me. Scope rail is a first rateWeaver/Picatinny system all bolted solidly in 4 places to an 11mm milled bolt slot dovetailed receiver. One of the best I have seen on any air rfle. Supplied rings come with large knurled screws. Will not move or lose zero under recoil, and come pre-shimmed in case of any barrel droop. Very good. I would have used aluminum shims, but hey... I eventually put on some Leupold quick detatch rings that were kicking around in order to switch to open sights quicker when needed. The fiber optic sights have good contrast, are clear and fast for quick off hand shots. I would, however prefer a slightly narrower front bead, but once again, no biggie for me. It's changeable. The Browning logo 3-9x adjustable objective scope has mil dots for hold-over shots, and focuses well even a bit under 10 yards. 40mm objective lens lets in light quite well, and is both clear and useable which is a welcome surprise In a 'package' optic. No need to change scope imho. The trigger is not adjustable as stated, but rather a long silky and light single stage. Very predictable and smooth breaking.. One of my favourite features of this rifle, and vital to achieving good accuracy. Safety is automatic with anti bear trap mechanism . Decent. Works flawlessly. The Browning Leverage is one accurate, good looking, well built rifle which should provide years of dependability and enjoyment. One of the best I have ever owned. Period.

    Browning leaverage 177 pellet gun

I have a lot of pellet guns. One day I went to Canadian tire and saw a Browning pellet gun. I saw it looked different then my break barrel pellet guns. I said to myself I have to have this and try it out. Well I put the scope on then took about 30 shots as i was setting it up with my targets. I could not beleave how it shot,?????? I thought it was one of those days when you just get consistent shots. Then I took one of my break barel pellet guns and I could not shoot as well at all. After that I took the Browning and shot it for another 25 rounds,??? Yes i was shooting groups of 5 half the size of a dime at 30 feet. I hardly shoot my break barels anymore. Beleave me this Browning leverage is the most accurate pellet gun I've ever shot. I will never turn back to any other pellet gun. Pests are not a problem at all and you know accuracy is all that counts and this browning has it all. Yours Truely.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Q: whats the FPS?

    2 Answers
    • A: I believe FPS stands for "Feet Per Second". So it means the pellet travels at up to 490 feet per second. This speed is affected by wind and weather conditions and may not always be accurate

Q: Scope Browning Leverage Why oh why would you need a 39x40 scope? I'm mean I'm all for extra zoom, but isn't 39x a little excessive? Yes, I understand that it was probably a type-o, but it's still kind of amusing.
